L\u2019exercice commande l\u2019hypoth\u00e8se d\u2019un troisi\u00e8me terme, inconnu, que la combinaison des deux autres (les oeuvres en pr\u00e9sence) permet de viser, dans une r\u00e9flexivit\u00e9 double.<\/p>\n<p>Traditionnellement, on concevait parfois l\u2019art comme un miroir : il se peut que cette r\u00e9flexivit\u00e9 simple, frontale, soit devenue plus complexe avec les innombrables \u00ab\u00a0r\u00e9flecteurs\u00a0\u00bb qui augmentent les points de vue possibles entre les r\u00e9alit\u00e9s et les simulacres, les originaux et les copies, l\u2019\u00eatre et le semblant (plus retors encore que le \u00ab\u00a0para\u00eetre\u00a0\u00bb).<br \/>\nLes peintures de Nina Childress mettent volontiers en oeuvre l\u2019agrandissement du motif, mais surtout une technique souple o\u00f9 le flout\u00e9 et l\u2019\u00ab\u00a0approximation hyper-r\u00e9aliste\u00a0\u00bb jettent le regard dans une sorte de trouble devant ce qu\u2019il voit. De m\u00eame, les objets agrandis de Lilian Bourgeat participent d\u2019une modification \u00e9trange des choses, de leur fonction, comme si ces choses conservaient leur usage habituel mais que leur destinataire \u00e9tait un Pantagruel du nouveau mill\u00e9naire, nous obligeant alors \u00e0 nous adapter \u00e0 des dimensions nouvelles. Par ailleurs, ces deux artistes traitent de choses proches, quotidiennes, et y font passer une sorte d\u2019\u00e9nergie lumineuse, color\u00e9e, vive\u00a0: si bien qu\u2019au bout du compte, ils semblent soucieux l\u2019un et l\u2019autre, \u00e0 travers leurs \u0153uvres inqui\u00e8tes mais joyeuses, de grandir le spectateur.<br \/>\nLe Frac Languedoc-Roussillon proposera aussi cette ann\u00e9e de nombreuses occasions de se rincer l\u2019\u0153il: que doit-on attendre de l\u2019art que cette salutaire gymnastique qui apprend \u00e0 distinguer le r\u00e9el de l\u2019illusoire, les choses de leur ombre, les originaux des copies et les originaux des multiples simulacres qui encombrent nos vies de fant\u00f4mes\u00a0tangibles ?
