Au placard. Dans le miroir. Ils reviennent.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c0 rebours des expositions th\u00e9matiques ou de l\u2019apparente neutralit\u00e9 des accrochages de collections mus\u00e9ales, \u00ab\u00a0Le Retour\u00a0\u00bb s\u2019organise comme un d\u00e9lire parano\u00efaque, un cauchemar ou un trip&nbsp;: \u00e0 partir d\u2019une lacune centrale. On ne saura pas pour qui, pour quoi, ronflent les tambours hollywoodiens du titre. Cette histoire n\u2019a cependant \u00ab&nbsp;rien de personnel&nbsp;\u00bb. Pour paraphraser Jim Shaw, un des artistes de l\u2019exposition, nous esp\u00e9rons que ce que nous faisons \u00e0 partir de nos r\u00eaves ne d\u00e9pend pas de nous.<\/p>\n<p>Les \u0153uvres rassembl\u00e9es sont, par certains aspects, famili\u00e8res. Beaucoup tirent leur mati\u00e8re du quotidien, de l\u2019univers domestique et commercial. Elles se nourrissent de la surproduction contemporaine de clich\u00e9s et de choses. Plusieurs s\u2019ing\u00e9nient \u00e0 d\u00e9tourner, voire \u00e0 saboter la fa\u00e7on dont les images circulent dans les tuyaux num\u00e9riques. L\u2019exposition s\u2019ouvre ainsi sur un film de&nbsp;<strong class=\"spip\">Yuyan Wang<\/strong>,&nbsp;<i>One thousand and one attempts to be an ocean<\/i>&nbsp;(2020) mont\u00e9 \u00e0 partir de centaines de s\u00e9quences vid\u00e9o Youtube&nbsp;<i>oddly satisfying \/ \u00e9trangement satisfaisantes<\/i>&nbsp;\u2013 des scies qui se r\u00e9v\u00e8lent, \u00e0 la longue, moins inoffensives qu\u2019il n\u2019y parait. Ce qui persiste, c\u2019est leur \u00e9tranget\u00e9, inqui\u00e9tante \u00e9videmment. On assiste, hypnotis\u00e9\u00b7e\u00b7s, \u00e0 \u00ab&nbsp;l\u2019\u00e9volution du surr\u00e9alisme en tant que force r\u00e9volutionnaire \u0153uvrant \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur d\u2019un truc publicitaire&nbsp;\u00bb \u2013 pour d\u00e9voyer \u00e0 nouveau les propos de&nbsp;<strong class=\"spip\">Jim Shaw<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c0 travers le ressac des images et la glu des objets, \u00ab\u00a0Le Retour\u00a0\u00bb laisse sourdre souvenirs, peurs et d\u00e9sirs, \u00e0 peine sont-ils refoul\u00e9s que les revoil\u00e0. Au rayon sympt\u00f4mes et transferts, on trouve toute la panoplie clinique&nbsp;: f\u00e9tiche, doppelg\u00e4nger, fixette libidinale, terreur de l\u2019autre et surtout, beaucoup de m\u00e9lancolie. Aucune des \u0153uvres rassembl\u00e9es ne t\u00e9moigne pourtant de complaisance pour le tourment int\u00e9rieur du sujet. L\u2019ironie est un garde-fou. Sous des titres trop explicites pour \u00eatre honn\u00eates, les \u0153uvres&nbsp;<i>Mood Disorder<\/i>, de&nbsp;<strong class=\"spip\">David Horvitz<\/strong>, ou&nbsp;<i>Death<\/i>, d\u2019<strong class=\"spip\">Ozg\u00fcr Kar<\/strong>, se r\u00e9v\u00e8lent narquoises \u00e0 souhait. Ainsi nous interpelle le squelette soliloquant mis en boite par le second&nbsp;: \u00ab&nbsp;Hey&nbsp;! Hey, toi l\u00e0&nbsp;! Es-tu na\u00eff&nbsp;? N\u2019est-ce pas une question effrayante&nbsp;?&nbsp;\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Sous les surfaces s\u00e9duisantes \u2013 LED et gla\u00e7ures \u2013 tout est en r\u00e9alit\u00e9 corrompu, tendancieux, joyeusement dysfonctionnel&nbsp;: peinture et pixels se contaminent, le papier peint pare le&nbsp;<i>white cube<\/i>, les sculptures sont molles, voire flaccides. Les \u0153uvres r\u00e9unies pour \u00ab\u00a0Le Retour\u00a0\u00bb n\u2019en finissent pas de taquiner les grands pr\u00e9ceptes modernistes, la puret\u00e9 du m\u00e9dium et tout le tralala. Au-del\u00e0 d\u2019art, c\u2019est d\u2019\u00e9lan vital dont il s\u2019agit. Les strat\u00e9gies d\u2019hybridation, le d\u00e9sir de transmutation semblent courir d\u2019une pi\u00e8ce \u00e0 l\u2019autre&nbsp;: artiste-oiseau, homme-femme-ordinateur, bidet-fesse. \u00c9chapper \u00e0 la forme fig\u00e9e, \u00e0 la cat\u00e9gorie, apparait comme une strat\u00e9gie de r\u00e9sistance face \u00e0 une r\u00e9alit\u00e9 ali\u00e9nante. Ni r\u00e9gression, ni retraite&nbsp;: \u00ab\u00a0Le Retour\u00a0\u00bb tente un pas de c\u00f4t\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Cette exposition de collections est le nouvel \u00e9pisode d\u2019une s\u00e9rie en cours&nbsp;: la longue complicit\u00e9 qui lie le Cnap et le Mrac. Une nouvelle s\u00e9lection d\u2019\u0153uvres issues du fonds national d\u2019art contemporain, pour la plupart acquises tout r\u00e9cemment, viennent prendre leur quartier dans les salles du mus\u00e9e, en dialogue avec la collection r\u00e9gionale, pour une<br class=\"autobr\">ann\u00e9e. Les vingt-neuf artistes ainsi r\u00e9unis, de toutes g\u00e9n\u00e9rations, travaillent en Europe \u2013pour la moiti\u00e9 en France \u2013 et aux \u00c9tats-Unis.
